Yes. Please refer to the table below:

    Minimum

    Maximum

    Upper Price

    999,999

    Lower Price

    Market Price × 10%

    999,999

Yes. Please refer to the following:

    Minimum Number of Grids

    Maximum Number of Grids

    Number of Grids

    2

    200

Please note that the system will adjust the limit of the maximum number of grids according to the price range you’ve set. In other words, if you set a narrower price range, the maximum number of grids will decrease accordingly to ensure that the Futures Grid Bot strategy records positive profits (i.e., grid profits that are greater than trading fees) under normal market conditions.

The specific minimum/maximum number of grids will be displayed in the No. of Grids column according to your price range settings.

Are there limits on the amount of investment for Futures Grid Bot?

The investment amount limit can vary, depending on the upper price, lower price, and the number of grids you’ve set. The specific minimum/maximum investment amounts will be displayed in the Investment column based on the parameters you set.

Can I adjust my Futures Grid Bot parameters?

Yes. You can modify two parameters when the Futures Grid Bot is running including Investment (USDT) and TP/SL. The new Futures Grid trading strategy will take effect immediately after the parameters are modified and successfully saved.

How many Futures Grid Bots can I run simultaneously?

Currently, you can have up to 50 Futures Grid Bots running simultaneously.

Why am I unable to successfully create a Futures Grid Bot?

If you fail to create a Futures Grid Bot, it may be due to the following reasons:

    1. You do not have enough USDT assets in your Funding Account to meet the minimum investment amount for your Futures Grid Bot strategy.
    2. The parameters you’ve set are not within a specified range.
    3. Your Bybit account is currently restricted from trading due to security reasons.

If the Futures Grid Bot still fails, please reach out to Bybit Customer Support by submitting a case here, and we will contact you as soon as possible.

Do I need to terminate my Futures Grid Bot if the market price falls outside of my predefined price range?

The open positions held by the Futures Grid Bot will remain open if the market price falls outside the price range set and no new order will be placed by the Grid Bot until the price returns to the predefined range. Users have the option to terminate the bots manually if desired.

Are there circumstances under which my Futures Grid Bot position can be liquidated?

Yes, your position will be liquidated if the mark price reaches the liquidation price and your bot will be terminated. For more details about the liquidation, please refer to the following articles:

What’s the difference between Grid Profits, Current P&L, and Total P&L?

Below is the difference between the three (3).

    Grid Profits

Grid Profits represent the cumulative profits realized from each individual buy and sell trade within the current Futures Grid Bot strategy, calculated per grid.

    Total P&L

This includes the realized profits plus any unrealized P&L arising from the open position held by the bot. It is calculated based on the difference in position value between the average entry price and the current market price.

    Current P&L

    Current P&L = Realized P&L + Unrealized P&L - Cumulative Withdrawn Grid Profit

Therefore, users should refer to the Total P&L, as it reflects the most relevant P&L upon bot termination.

Why am I having a loss in my Total P&L while my Grid Profit is positive?

The Grid Profit represents the sum of profits generated by each completed Buy and Sell Order pair within the trading strategy. However, Total P&L includes both realized profits and unrealized P&L. You might see a negative total P&L if the open positions in the bot are currently incurring losses that the realized grid profits are not enough to offset.

How do I receive my profits and investment amount after I terminate my bot?

When your grid bot is running, any profit will stay within the bot. Once the bot is terminated, both your investment amount and profits will be automatically transferred to your Funding Account.

Can I withdraw realized profits from my Futures Grid Bot?

Yes, you can go to the bot Details page and click on Withdraw. The maximum amount that can be withdrawn from the Futures Grid Bot is determined by either realized profits plus any additional margin added to the bot, or the remaining margin, whichever is lower. The initial investment amount, however, must remain within the bot and cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.

Can I add more margin to my Futures Grid Bot?

Yes, you can go to the Details page and click on Invest More to add additional margin. The added margin will be used as the available balance to maintain your position or fee deduction, and it won't affect any bot parameters.

Will investing more margin into or withdrawing from my Futures Grid Bot affect my TP/SL?

Yes, both investing additional margin and withdrawing from the bot will impact the TP/SL ratio calculation. Below is an example for your understanding.

    1. Trader A created a Futrues Grid Bot with the parameters below:

    • Initial Investment Amount: 80 USDT
    • Additional Investment Amount: 20 USDT
    • TP/SL ratio: 20%, 20%

    2. The bot has realized a 15 USDT profit. Trader A then withdrew 16 USDT from the bot (15 USDT from the realized profits, 1 USDT from the additional investment amount).

    3. Before withdrawing the 16 USDT, the TP/SL will be triggered when the current P&L reaches ±20 USDT  (100 x 20%).

    4. After withdrawing 16 USDT, considering that the withdrawn amount includes previously added collateral, the current investment amount held within the bot decreases to 99 USDT. The TP/SL will only be triggered when the current P&L reaches ±19.8 USDT (99 x 20%).

    5. Trader A now adds another 81 USDT to the bot. The investment amount increases to 180 USDT. The TP/SL will now only be triggered when the current P&L reaches ±36 USDT.

What does the negative sign represent on my Funding Fee?

A negative amount on the Funding Fee indicates that you are receiving (earning) the funding fee from the previous funding interval. Conversely, if you see a positive amount, it means that you are paying the funding fee, which results in a reduction of your remaining margin within your bot.

Why is the total number of buy and sell orders not equal to my number of grids?

This may happen in the event of large market fluctuations when the price exceeds your price set range in a short period of time, and the order was not placed successfully.

Therefore, our futures grid bot adopts the dynamic order mode. Once the price falls back to your set price range, the futures grid bot will help you place the order again, so as to improve your capital utilization rate and profit and reduce the potential liquidation risk.

Under what risk limit tier is the Futures Grid Bot traded?

Currently, the Futures Grid Bot is only traded within the first limit tier of the trading pair selected. For example, in the BTCUSDT Futures Grid Bot, the maximum position value that can be opened for the bot is up to the first risk limit tier for BTCUSDT of 2,000,000 USDT.

What happens when the Futures Grid Bot trades go above the first risk limit tier?

When the Futures Grid Bot identifies that the position value or the placement of new limit orders would surpass the threshold of the initial risk limit tier, it will temporarily halt placing new orders until the position's value returns within the specified limit.

Where can I view my order history?

Please head to My Bots to view all active and completed trades. Click on Details to view the details of your trade, including the profit(s), total APR and price range.

Under what circumstances will the Futures Grid Bot automatically close?

The Futures Grid Bot can automatically shut down for the following reasons:

    1. Your position triggers the set Take-Profit percentage

    2. Your position triggers the set Stop-Loss percentage

    3. Your position triggers a liquidation

Why are some of my orders not being triggered and executed when the price is reached?

All buy and sell orders for Futures Grid Bot under the Neutral strategy will require a margin for execution. Due to its nature, the Neutral strategy determines all orders as opening orders but will eventually close a position when the orders in the opposite direction of your open position are executed. Therefore, traders may notice that the orders in the opposite direction may not be executed in the event of insufficient balance.

What margin mode and trading mode is the Futures Grid Bot holding the trading positions in?

A Futures Grid Bot holds trading positions using cross-margin mode and executes a grid trading strategy in one-way mode. Please note that investment amounts are dedicated to each individual bot and cannot be shared across multiple trading bots. Furthermore, the profits and losses generated by the bot's positions are isolated within the bot itself. These profits and losses will not be used to offset trading losses from other trading bots or strategies.

If the position in the Futures Grid Bot is liquidated, what is the maximum amount I will lose?

The maximum amount you can lose with Futures Grid Bot is your invested amount within the bot. Liquidation in the Futures Grid Bot will not affect your other bots or positions in Derivatives trading.

Can I use a bonus or fee saver in Futures Grid Bot?

No, bonuses and fee savers cannot be used in Futures Grid Bot.
